A graduate of the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Brian Braithwaite was a member of the U.S. Navy and received his surgical training as a resident in general surgery at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler Air Force Base. He completed a plastic surgery residency at the University of Louisville, and then became a staff plastic surgeon at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, where he served on active duty as the Chief of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Braithwaite was named Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
